Laura attended university in Canada and the United Kingdom. After graduating, she began her career in Journalism and then Public Relations. Realising Journalism and PR was not the right career path for her, Laura decided to enroll in culinary school. She enrolled at The Dubrulle Culinary Institute in Vancouver and the L'Ecole de Cuisine LaVarenne in Burgundy, France, she also undertook wine studies in France and California.
Laura is not only a chef, but she is the author of several cookbooks: French Taste, French Food at Home and recently in 2011, Dinner Chez Moi. Her food writing has appeared in several publications such as Vogue Entertaining and Travel, Gourmet Magazine, Gastronomica, The Times of London, The Los Angeles Times, The Wine Journal, and Flare Magazine.
When not cooking or writing, Laura enjoys pencil drawing and yoga. After having spent a decade in France writing French cookbooks and researching on French cuisine, Laura now lives in Toronto.
